ReplyDeleteI'm glad you guys made mention of the "costume" Looker slips into to distract the guard. I have no doubt it didn't bother me back in '86, as I was 15, but I didn't like it for two reasons. One, it's just there for her to be sexy. Two, where did it even come from and how does she change back so quickly? I know, comics and all, but that scene really stuck out.
As for the rest, I could certainly do without the Hitler stuff, but it does raise the stakes. You're also right in that the New Wave/Windfall/Halo business seems to be getting stale, but I think that changes soon if I'm remembering correctly.
