This issue had some nice moments, like Helena taking James under her wing, but no, I didn't like Batman's characterization, and it felt rushed trying to wrap up the storyline. I imagine today the comic might have been allowed to continue until #25, with enough warning to conclude its subplots and include more characters like the Helena's therapist. Oh, what might have been.
ReplyDeleteOn my read of the series, I kind of missed that Helena changed her costume a few issues ago. I don't really like it. It's like Kestrel from the Hawk & Dove series around this period, complete with beak on the mask. Helena's theme has not been as a "bird" or "bat", so I don't get it. But what do you all think of this costume?
